Rot is the mate of the founding Alpha, Shade. He left his pack upon reaching adulthood because of overcrowding and resource constraints, and because of this he's always been overly cautious of waning food stores. A very skilled hunter, he spends just as much of his time providing for the pack as he does worrying for his mate, who has been becoming more and more paranoid and obsessed with the mysterious force of change.

[01-08-22] Spring, Year 1
Love at first sight (and puppies soon after).
SpoilerOh my stars, this has all happened so fast! I'd only been gone from my pack for a few days, and as I was wandering, I met this huge she wolf, darker than tar, and a face like a... a bear maybe? I'm not sure, but she was strange looking! And a bit scary. She looked me up and down, and then told me to follow her. She said her name was 'Tala,' and she had someone for me to meet. I was so scared, I just followed her and hoped she wouldn't hurt me. She led me through this huge grassland, and then started talking to this beautiful she-wolf. Tala said that I should join her pack, which I thought was awfully convenient since I was looking for one when she found me. The other she-wolf- her name is Shade, she told me that when we started talking, and I forgot to introduce myself to her- she said that she needed someone to help her start a pack. I was so flustered, I'm certain she could hear my heart beating through my chest. We talked for a while and she was nice enough, if a little... blunt. And uncouth. We stayed together a few days and then she proposed pups! She's amazing and gorgeous and so strong, of course I'd agree. Tala came along again, and gave Shade a magic feather, and she had the pups later that day. There was two, a male and a female. My own pups. I named the female Blaze, and Shade named the other Stone. It's... a lot. It's been not even two weeks and we're already a family. I'm happy, and Shade seems happy, so I guess... as long as we stay like this, we'll be alright.[01-31-22] Winter, Year 1
