Muliwai of rumbling streams
Muliwai was probably the most accepted leader since the Lunar genes made their way into the pack. Probably because the older generation of wolves has since passed, or perhaps because she's been the most promising heir yet. All pups are raised on stories of the great founder River and her mate Ronja, but Muliwai has been the first to truly follow in their footsteps to this day. She was never too close to her mother and her views on how a pack should be led were vastly different from those in charge. For a while, it seemed she might even be stripped of her title, however many wolves voiced their disagreement when such rumors spread. Alas, Muliwai entered the leader's den after her mother's passing and the real changes began.
Not long after her naming ceremony, the she-wolf had a dream. It was vivid, almost real, River herself visited her, placing her cold nose on Muliwai's forehead and chanting some words in a language long forgotten in time. The young she-wolf sighed softly as the contact was broken, staring into the bright green eyes of her ancestor she could've sworn they'd met before. "You know what to do my child" River spoke and then slowly disappeared. Muliwai woke up rested like never before with early morning sun softly kissing her cheeks. As she was stretching by a local stream she noticed something odd about her reflection, looking closer a change in her pelt couldn't go unnoticed. Certain parts of her fur were sparkling and softly glowing with a purple hue. She tried shaking it off, even a quick swim to wash it off but to no avail. "Perhaps this is a blessing" she spoke softly at her reflection remembering her dream.
Not much changed when the pack found out about Muliwai's new appearance. Some wolves even praised the sudden change. The young leader went on pushing positive change within the pack meanwhile discovering she's been given access to some interesting Lunar powers along with her new cool fur. It took a while to master them, but with practice she became confident, some would say too confident, but she only ever used them to benefit the pack.
