The Abyssal Void grew tired of Haunted Serpent fast. After the she-devil ambushed their old leader and killed half the pack, the rest of the living wolves were devastated. Their sisters and brothers murdered, their mothers and fathers left to rot in the camp. Even some of their pups were slaughtered, including the Pack's heir. The heir was soon replaced with one of Haunted Serpent's own daughters, who was made from the she-devil and an underworld god.
The pack spoke in small groups, telling the plan far and wide so the clan knew what to do and when to do it. The scouts set out, purposely going into one of clans that Abyssal Void used to be allies with. This Pack had a promising, strong young pup who could easily rule with soft paws and a good heart, but the pack already had their own heir, so they let the scouts lead him back.
They tricked the leader into thinking he was a stray they had found alone in the woods, and the clan raised him as a normal wolf, but in secret the clan knew his purpose. When he was just barely above an adolescent age, they took action in the middle of the night.
The Finishers of the clan grouped together, and the 4 of them ambushed Haunted Serpent and has slaughtered the she-devil before turning to her mate: the underworld god. Myth of Madness apologized, and pleaded to be kept alive, promising only to serve the pack as a normal wolf.
The scouts set off into the glacier days later, inbetween them their soon-to-be-Alpha. They took him to the top of the coldest mountain, and left the heir to speak to the gods above who would bless his future and the clan.
Konahrik descended the mountain, the gods having aged him up, and gave him his new name that he would lead with. The pack was saved.
