Polaris the Path Finder

The white wolf tapered in the shadow of the slanting forest which traveled down the sides of the great mountains, paws crinkling the snow. He had been born here above the world below, with vision over the expanses of distant lands. Polaris was old now, and had visited all of them from mountain to tundra and all the lands in between for the pack of Tenshi-Tachi. This was most likely the last time he would visit his home land, he could feel his body growing heavy and the aching of every movement. His fur had gone ragged and his ribs and pelvis could be seen from his sides. Yet, all Polaris truly felt was peace, he had lived a wonderful life full of the thrill of adventure and the stories he shared of those adventures would never end. The pack would remember them for all of time.
