Biography
Named after a bird, and the birds know it.
Summer [II] — "'What do you want, Bird?!' She growled. This thing had been following her for hours. She just wanted to take a peaceful morning stroll, and maybe even find some herbs for the still grieving North.
'Squawk!'
Tanager sighed. She had tried everything to get it to leave her alone. Snarled. Offered it an acorn. She'd even caught a critter for the shiny blue pest. Nothing. What more could a bird want?
'Squawk!'
Maybe it was just stupid.
~
Tanager stopped walking once she reached a small, peaceful meadow. She lied down on her back, paws in the air, warming her belly. After a few moments, she closed her eyes. The peace didn't last. Hearing yet another squawk, she finally beckoned the bird closer with a paw. It hopped right onto her hind leg. She supposed that her leg made a good perch. At least it was quiet again."
