Biography
Pronounced (LOO-kiss)
A hunter of the Silver Falcon Pack. A Chaser for the Dusk Owls hunting team. Pup of the hunter Mae. Has a half-sister, Snips. Pair bonded with fellow Chaser and Dusk Owl Arza. They have three pups, Jesse, Gray, and Tobin.
Dedicated and determined, loyal. A very capable hunter, with a tendency to overwork himself if he's not careful. He's half sheepdog, providing him with a distinct pelt and some rogue herding instincts that often appear when he's tasked with caring for pups, even if only for a little bit. Is well-liked and has a big heart.
Lukas feels like a bit of history repeating - particularly that of his great-grandfather Boey. Starting at the beginning:
One day, the Silver Falcon Pack found an injured dog in their territory. The scout Phaisper, who found him, brought him to the den in order to help him heal. The dog explained that he was a sheepdog belonging to a farmer. But as he got older and had some trouble keeping up with the younger sheepdogs, the farmer began to hurt him - he said this was very unusual for owners to do. But it got to be too much, so he ran away. He survived an encounter with a different pack, who wasn't nearly as welcoming to dogs as the Silver Falcon Pack was, leaving him injured.
White Tiger, the Silver Falcon Pack's leader, invited the sheepdog, whose name was Dan, to rest until he was healed, and after that, he could stay or leave the pack if he wanted. Dan originally was planning to leave, to find a new home among dogs, until he met Mae.
Before his eyes one day was a wolf marked like a dog. Her name was Mae, a dog name, and she told him that her grandfather was a sheepdog like him. Dan became very curious about her and as he recovered, spent a lot of time with her. They discovered that they were about the same age, among other things. And as the two grew closer, they agreed that they should stay together for whatever time they both had left. Dan became a father to the pups from her most recent litter, born a few months before his arrival, and loved and raised them as his own.
And when those pups grew up and Mae found it time for her last litter of pups, well, Dan became a father by blood this time. It was a future he had never expected for himself, but seeing their wolf-dog pups, he knew it was meant to be. The pack had taken kindly to him and he felt that this really was his home.
Among the pups in the litter was Lukas. Lukas bore a strong resemblance to the both of them as well as to his own great-grandfather Boey. He would not end up leading the pack as Boey did but still had remarkable similarities. Like Boey, he wore a owl-talon necklace given to him by his partner.
Lukas befriended two young red fox kits when he was a pup himself. Their names were Shaga and Naka, and the three played together a lot. The two would tell Lukas stories about their great-aunt Valstra, who wasn't really their aunt since she was a grey fox, but she pretty much was to them. Valstra was one of Boey's companions, who joined the pack after her home clan was wiped out. Later, though, she rebuilt it, and these two fox pups were a part of it.
In his adolescence, a raven named Loloca befriended Lukas. Loloca was a bit of a chatterbox but also made a good companion on the hunt. Loloca claimed that she was a descendant of Cococa, the raven often found flying by Boey's side. Given the similarities, she is believed to be so.
