Biography
* Pug was born with an anomaly. All puppies have short snouts and big heads, but this particular pup is very wrinkled and visually deformed, as though someone pushed his face into her head. Pug is audibly gasping for air, but he is alive, and he seems healthy for now.
Seeing her pup, Permafrost was devistated. The poor thing was struggling so hard to breath and she truely hoped that there was some way to help him. Oracle was called but after a thorough examination she shook her head and gave a simpathetic look. The poor thing would not survive a full life.
* Pug's breathing is laboured. His tongue barely fits within his shortened mouth. He makes lots of gasping and snorting noises every day. Pug's eyes opened earlier than your other puppies, and they seem to prolapse a bit.
Permafrost loved Pug like any other. She named him for his small pug nose and squishy features. She ensured he had the best care. Though his eyes bulged out some she smiled. Permafrost was able to see his eyes open and hoped he could see her.
* Pug is having serious issues with breathing. There's not a quiet day in your den -- the puppy's snoring and snorting is a constant, worrisome noise.
Oracle regularly checked on Pug but his conditioned worstened. It was only a matter of time now. While all the other pups had started to move around the den and play he was still currled to his mother bairly able to function. Permafrost would attempt to nudge him to play with the others but he just couldnt. It was clear she wasnt taking this well and this would be hard on her.
* Unfortunately, Pug has passed away due to complications with breathing. Every breath he took was just not enough to fill his tiny body with enough air. It seems eerily quiet within your den after the puppy's snorts stopped forever.
The silence was deafening. Nobody dare utter a word as Permafrost winpered and nuzzled her pup. It was the first time the pack was truely hit by the death of a pup and it hit hard. They had gotten use to his snorts and quirks but pug was just not ment for this pack.
Morningstar rested a wing on her packmate and Frostbite joined her sister. It was some time before Midnight came in to take the pup. He too was saddened by the loss and simpathized with her but the pack must continue. Once the matter was delt with Permafrost left Burning Cavern and silently returned to Shadowhold. The day was a sad one for all and the whole pack morned in silence. Nobody uttered a word the whole day.
