Biography
Coral is known to be confident but arrogant, she is known to not listen to instructions well. As a pup she is known to get into trouble, though the BloodNight Pack isn't exactly strict, they still got a bit annoyed when Coral went into troubling situations. She often left the camp to explore. This led to her being attacked by a raccoon, leaving a permanent scar on her foot. However, it just made her more confident and she even made her own crown out of cedar bark.
The alpha, Storm, seeing she was becoming a danger to the pack, decided to have Coral become a traveler, hoping it would teach her something. Coral left the BloodNight Pack once she was an adolescent, saying that she will come back one day better than every other wolf.
Will Coral learn? Its time for her to explore and see how other packs run! Check out The BloodNight Packs Traveler Journals!

As Coral pads through a forest full of dead, wintery trees, her first two pups trot along behind her. Sheen, the leader of Dancing Ray Pack walks up to her. She offers Coral a home for as long as she wants, and gives her a cloak, to keep her and her young pups warm.
- Added Red Celtic Cloak
- Added Light Snow
During her stay with the Clan of Sungold, Coral was given Aurora, the sweetest pup in the clan, to look after while her adopted parents were working. "As a guardian to pups, it is your responsibility to teach them the ways of wolves," Frejya told Coral, "but never forget that they may also have things to teach you."
Aurora's favorite pasttime, when training had been finished for the day, was to go to the great river near the dens and practice swiping at little fish in the shallows. Coral asked her one day why she never went further out, since she was big enough to stand in much deeper water and would be able to catch much bigger fish that way. Aurora replied, "The big wolves told me never to go deeper until I know my way in the shallows, because there are currents beneath the surface that I can't see."
- Added [Canada] Alberta - Bow River
Coral made her way on her travels and came to a large deciduous forest in the middle of autumn. The leaves were bright hues of red, yellow, and orange, making the forest look cheery and bright. Coral was greeted by Alpha Merida who took her to the Starshade Pack's den. After learning from her previous experience with puppies, Coral offered to sit for some of the puppies in the Starshade Pack as there were many newborns upon her arrival. Although she was skeptical of what pups that hadn't even been weaned could teach her. She was assigned to look after Celeste who seemed to be one of the most boring pups she sat for. After training, Celeste wouldn't do anything for the rest of the day. She'd watch her litter mates play, watch butterflies, even watch prey run by. Coral didn't understand it at all.
"How can you just sit here watching everything when it's right there in front of you? You can eat butterflies, you can chase your siblings and chase your prey. Don't you want to go run?" Coral asked with slight exasperation.
"No thanks. I learn plenty by just sitting and observing. It's peaceful when you sit back and watch and let the world go by. You feel more connected to the ground at your paws," Celeste said, continuing to lay on the ground watching a bee land delicately on a flower.
Coral wasn't sure she understood but laid down next to Celeste, watching the bee herself. After a while she began to notice the subtleties in the colors of the bee. Yellowish pollen coated its small legs as it hovered with its large body over to another flower. Coral didn't even notice the time going by and soon the sun was setting. She just watched the sunset with Celeste before the two went back to the den for the night. Both were silent, nothing needed to be said. Coral had never felt so connected with the earth until that day.
Given White Oak Sapling decor as a reminder of her connection with the earth.

Host: Proxy #86672
Item: Rabbit & Owl Talon Necklace
Lore:
Coral raced across the prairie, in hot pursuit of a tasty-looking rabbit. As a traveler, she was unable to pursue larger prey, and hadn't had a decent meal in several days. Coral's stomach rumbled, as she watched the rabbit zig-zag from side-to-side, but nothing could deter her from this hunt.
She felt her heart race faster, as she felt herself closing the distance. The rabbit darted around a small outcropping, as Coral moved to corner it… When she heard the rabbit give a frightened squeak, which was immediately silenced.
Confused, Coral veered around the corner in pursuit of her prey. But then the realization hit her, like an elk-kick to the gut.
Just a few fox-lengths away, there was a coyote. Standing over -her- kill.
Coral growled – how dare they? Surely it had already picked up on her scent. Or at the very least, saw she was chasing the rabbit first. She took a step forward – but instead of immediately surrendering the kill, the coyote bent down over the rabbit in a taunting play-bow. Was that the slightest hint of a grin?
Before Coral could close the distance, however, the coyote picked up the prey, and took off running. Coral immediately gave chase/ She may have already been winded by her hunt, but she wasn't about to let herself be stolen from, after all her hard work.
. . .
The coyote was quick, but Coral had longer legs, and was much better at endurance running. Eventually, the coyote lead her into the border of the desert, a small ravine, where it quickly found itself cornered, just like the rabbit. Coral smiled, despite herself.
But instead of seeming frightened in the presence of a wolf, as a coyote should, the animal seemed unconcerned. Pleased, even. As it responded to her growl of warning with a wag of it's tail, and a cheeky grin, as though this were some kind of game. Since when had coyotes gotten so bold?
Then, the coyote looked up. And she saw why it was smiling.
A whole pack of coyotes was crawling down from the ridge up above her. A series of cackling laughs erupted from around her, as she saw more of them approaching from the sides, green and yellow eyes gleaming in the shadows. They all had strange markings and paw prints painted across their bodies, and their ears and tails were decorated with feathers and bones. It seems these were no ordinary coyotes.
One coyote approached from behind her, wearing an elk skull with broken-off antlers.
"Oh dear, it seems someone has gotten a little turned around," they said, in a mock-pity voice. "Don't you know that you're in coyote territory?"
Coral didn't answer, and simply bristled. Of course, she had no way of knowing that. Especially considering they were the ones who stole her prey, and lead her here in the first place! But she knew there was no point in arguing with them.
The leader continued. "Generally, the penalty for our entering our borders without permission is quite harsh. But I suppose we'd be willing to forgive this transgression… Should you hand over everything in that little traveler's bag of yours as a form of charity."
Coral shook her head and backed away. Her traveler's satchel contained some of the life-saving herbs and emergency supplies she needed for her journey. As well as some sentimental gifts and trinkets from her home pack. Besides that, even if her bag contained nothing but a week-old dead rat, she wasn't going to hand it over to a bunch of prey-thieves.
The coyote pack surrounded her with hungry grins. Coral crouched down and bared her teeth, as she braced herself against the cliff wall. But before the coyotes could spring, a shadow fell down from the ridge up above.
"Well, now. This hardly seems like a fair fight. Mind if I even the odds?"
Coral followed the sound of the voice to see a strange piebald wolf standing up above them. They were wearing a crude outfit fashioned out of what looked like salvaged human decor, with a wide-brimmed hat and a ragged cloak which fluttered in the breeze.
A few of the coyotes looked wary, and a couple of them took a few steps back. Was it possible they knew this wolf, somehow? The coyote leader however, seemed unimpressed.
"Don't mind him. I hear he's soft. If he's wise, he'll back out now and stay out of our business, while his hide's still attached."
"Oh, well that's fair enough," said the stranger as he made his way down to stand beside Coral. "I ain't exactly habituated to violence. But I did happen to pick up your scent on the way over here, and already informed the rest of the Desert Stars, who should be arriving any minute now. And I don't think Lone Star would be too happy to hear about y'all renegin' on our deal."
As soon as he spoke their name, something in the atmosphere seemed to change. The coyote leader's ears flattened.
"You're bluffing."
The stranger cocked an eyebrow. "Maybe. That's not a gamble I'd take though, personally." He glanced at Coral with a grin. "And while I'm probably not as good a fighter as my friend there, I can certainly take enough licks to buy us plenty of time."
The coyotes all exchanged glances, between Coral, the stranger, and their leader. The leader seemed to mull things over for a moment, before they snorted and shook their head.
"Don't bother. This isn't worth it. They probably don't have anything worth taking anyway." The coyote leader began to back away, as the rest of them clustered together, sniffing the air and searching the horizon. "Consider this a warning, traveler!"
With that, the coyotes scattered and disappeared behind the stones as quickly as they came. As soon as they were gone, Coral turned to the stranger with a frown.
"I didn't ask for your help, you know. I could handle things."
"Oh, I'm sure you could," the piebald wolf remarked cheerfully. "But while they're mostly bark, coyotes do have a nasty bite. Better not to get bitten at all, don't you think?"
He offered Coral's stolen rabbit back, with a wag of his tail. Coral accepted it reluctantly.
"Thanks." The word tasted bitter, but she supposed it needed to be said. She felt both embarrassed and a little angry, at having gotten lead into such an obvious trap. If her old packmates ever heard about this, they'd never let her hear the end of it.
Despite the past danger, however, the stranger had already plopped down and was busying himself scratching his ear, as though nothing at all had happened. Coral approached him curiously.
"Sorry, but... who exactly are you?"
"Oh, I'm nobody, really," the stranger replied. "Just a fellow wolf prone to wanderin', who just happened to wander past the right place at the right time."
Coral frowned. "I thought you said you were waiting for the rest of your pack."
The piebald wolf looked a little embarrassed. "I might have been bluffing." He paused. "It was a half-truth, at least. I did inform the Stars, but they're quite a ways away. By the time they would have got here, well…" He wagged his tail. "I guess we're both lucky, huh?"
Coral looked around in disbelief. "Wait, there are seriously whole packs of wolves who live in the desert.
"Sure thing!" The stranger wagged his tail. "The Desert Stars may look rough, but they're good folk. Come on, I'll take you there. They sort of have a habit of taking in strays. You can stay as long as you like. And I'm sure they'd be willing to share some much more filling prey than just rabbit!"

Lore:For what felt like an eternity, Coral had been wandering through the vast and desolate forest, plagued by loneliness and hunger. As she traversed the woodland in search of a place to rest, her eyes caught sight of a vivid blue raven gliding gracefully above her. The bird seemed surprised by her presence, tilting its head inquisitively before darting away into the foliage.
This raven, named Blue, wasted no time in reaching Vera and conveying the news. "My lady, a traveler is passing through," Blue whispered urgently.

"Lead the way," Vera responded, and they set off together to find Coral.
Having found a spot to rest beside a sturdy tree stump, Coral's stomach loudly protested its emptiness. As Vera approached her cautiously so as not to startle her, she kindly asked, "Hello there, are you hungry?"
Coral looked up, rising slowly from her spot, and silently nodded, gratitude shining in her eyes for this unexpected act of kindness. Vera acknowledged her response and guided Coral back to the rest of the pack. There, they shared a quick but satisfying meal together.
After being nourished by the pack's generosity, Coral noticed a handsome male observing her from the treeline. She thanked everyone for their kindness and couldn't resist the pull of pursuing this male immediately. In a short while, Coral found herself expecting a litter of puppies during her stay with the pack.
Throughout her time there, Coral developed a close bond with a wolf named Rieka. She spent much of her stay assisting Matthias, who was the herbalist of the pack. Under his guidance, Coral learned the art of identifying herbs and caring for wounds, becoming quite proficient in these skills.
The alpha, Storm, seeing she was becoming a danger to the pack, decided to have Coral become a traveler, hoping it would teach her something. Coral left the BloodNight Pack once she was an adolescent, saying that she will come back one day better than every other wolf.
