On the first day of 銀蘭 Ginran's pup training, 銅 Akagane laid out different herbs for him to smell with eyes closed, huffing at him when he attempted to peek. "Your nose is your strongest sense when it comes to identifying herbs 銀蘭 Ginran!"
"Well I don't plan on being a herbalist 銅 Akagane…" 銀蘭 Ginran spat back,
"Hunters, Scouts, even Pupsitters need a good sense of smell. It's not just about smelling herbs, Pup" 銅 Akagane scowled and began putting the herbs back into her stores, "We'll try again tomorrow."

Today, 銀蘭 Ginran learned about hierarchy and the rules within the pack, how wolves got their roles and even how they decided who to mate. He was surprised how the adults could always remember all of this. Akagane chuckled
"It's really not that hard. You'll learn quick enough. Firstly, you'll begin training in your role as an apprentice where you'll most likely meet who's near you in the hierarchy." 銀蘭 Ginran was still confused, "I don't really understand 銅 Akagane."
"Well, look at the current 星座狼 Seizarō hunting team. Your mother, 霧林 Kiribayashi, and her siblings, your uncle 苔原 Kokehara and aunt 菌輪 Kinrin, were all put in the same team together with 秋夜 Akiyo and 狼座 Ōkamiza who are also related to each other-"
"So it depends on who's related to who?" 銀蘭 Ginran blurted in.
"Well yes and no. It's mostly about what role you're given. Both your mother and uncle knew they'd be Chasers, but for a time 菌輪 Kinrin wanted to be a Finisher. 狼座 Ōkamiza was older and had already been chosen to be the next Finisher in the 星座狼 Seizarō hunting team and 菌輪 Kinrin along with your mother and uncle were to be the Chasers. 秋夜 Akiyo was born the same time as 狼座 Ōkamiza and had also been chosen but to be the Stalker, of course. So those 3 were really a perfect fit, it was just a matter of 菌輪 Kinrin coming to terms with her role." 銅 Akagane looked down and was surprised to find 銀蘭 Ginran sleeping. But she needn't worry, 銀蘭 Ginran had heard everything and was currently dreaming of being in a hunting team of his own. Maybe even the 星座狼 Seizarō.

Today, 銀蘭 Ginran had some problems with drawing a line between teamwork and playtime with his littermates. 銅 Akagane was serious when she told them that bonding and working together were not the same thing. He couldn't help it! He was born on Valentine's Day after all.

2週間後
銀蘭 Ginran sniffed the ground, recognizing the scent of the toy immediately. Tracking it was almost too easy, but 霧林 Kiribayashi placed a few distracting surprises that he had to overcome. Fallen logs and deep arroyos were nothing for him, he bounded over them quickly, but a small muddy river was another thing. The scent ended right at the water, but the river was wide with no stepping stones or fallen logs to help one cross. 銀蘭 Ginran wasn't sure if 霧林 Kiribayashi would've swam across the river or if this was a trick. Then he saw it, on the other shore was one paw print coming out of the water! And there, behind it he could see a game trail, the place where the tall grasses catch each other and form a sort of tunnel. It wasn't long until 銀蘭 Ginran found the hiding spot, an old badger set among the roots of a cottonwood tree. Sneaky mom, trying to throw off the scent as well as plug up my nose!

銀蘭 Ginran practised his voice in a remote spot, a bit ashamed to howl in front of other pups and adults. He didn't feel ready yet.

2週間後
銀蘭 Ginran was in charge of describing everything he saw today while out exploring with 狼座 Ōkamiza, down to the last detail. He struggled more than he expected, not realizing just how hard it was to rely upon his memory.

銀蘭 Ginran's mother, 霧林 Kiribayashi, died when she was around 2yrs old but 銀蘭 Ginran knew that 霧林 Kiribayashi was proud of what she'd already accomplished having seen her join the Seizarō 星座狼 hunting team.

You can see the sparks of joy in 銀蘭 Ginran's eyes when they ask you to go over to them. They have prepared a little surprise for you as a reminder that you're special to them.
