Biography
There was once a wolf who loved her mate more than anything. They lived in a pack in the mountains, where they hunted and played together. They were happy and loyal to each other.
One day, a terrible storm came to the mountains. It brought thunder and lightning, rain and hail, wind and snow. The pack tried to find shelter, but the storm was too strong. It destroyed their den and scattered their prey.
The wolf and her mate were separated from the rest of the pack. They ran for their lives, dodging falling rocks and trees. They tried to find each other, but the storm was too loud and dark.
They lost each other.
The wolf was desperate. She howled and searched for her mate, but she could not find him. She feared that he was dead or injured. She felt a pain in her heart that she had never felt before.
She prayed to the spirits of the sky, the earth, and the ancestors. She begged them to help her find her mate. She offered them anything they wanted in return.
She did not expect an answer.
But she got one.
A voice spoke to her in her mind. It was gentle and powerful, ancient and wise.
"Wolf," it said. "I hear your prayer. I see your love. I feel your pain."
"Who are you?" the wolf asked.
"I am the spirit of life," the voice said. "I am the creator of all things. I am the one who gave you your soul."
"Why do you speak to me?" the wolf asked.
"Because you have touched my heart," the voice said. "You have shown me a love that is pure and true. A love that is willing to sacrifice everything for another."
"What do you want from me?" the wolf asked.
"I want to help you," the voice said. "I want to grant you your wish. I want to reunite you with your mate."
"Please do," the wolf said. "Please tell me where he is."
"I cannot tell you," the voice said. "But I can show you."
"How?" the wolf asked.
"By giving you a gift," the voice said. "A gift that will change your life forever."
"What is it?" the wolf asked.
"It is a pair of wings," the voice said. "Wings that will let you fly above the storm. Wings that will let you see everything from a new perspective. Wings that will let you find your mate."
"Wings?" the wolf repeated. "But I am a wolf, not a bird."
"You are more than a wolf," the voice said. "You are a soul. A soul that can transcend its form. A soul that can become an angel."
"An angel?" the wolf repeated.
"Yes, an angel," the voice said. "A being of light and love. A being of grace and power. A being of freedom and joy."
"Why would you give me such a gift?" the wolf asked.
"Because I love you," the voice said. "Because I want you to be happy. Because I want you to fulfill your destiny."
"What is my destiny?" the wolf asked.
"Your destiny is to save your mate," the voice said. "Your mate is in danger. He is trapped under a pile of rocks at the bottom of a ravine. He is wounded and bleeding. He is dying."
"No!" the wolf cried.
"Yes," the voice said. "But you can save him. You can fly to him and heal him with your touch. You can lift him up and carry him to safety. You can be his angel."
"I will do it," the wolf said. "I will save him."
"Then accept my gift," the voice said.
The wolf felt a warmth in her chest. She felt a light in her eyes. She felt a tingling in her back.
She looked behind her and saw two white wings sprouting from her shoulders.
They were large and beautiful, soft and strong.
They were hers.
She flapped them once and felt a gust of wind lift her off the ground.
She flapped them again and soared into the sky in search of her mate.
After she successfully rescued and healed her mate, she now knew what she was destined to be, and she became the eternal watcher of mortals on earth that day.
