Shade and Serene were always mistaken as the other by their pack mates but only in looks and they weren't related to each other. Between the two Shade was always the quiet one but the most caring in the physical manner. She was a wolf of few words but showed her love through nuzzles and head rubs. Shade felt like she didn't need to talk and let her actions be the words for her as she nudge in encouragement to the puppies to explore or tussle with the older pups when they wanted someone to play with. She wasn't fierce like Serene but she was the most observant to the wolves in the pack and would always lend an ear to any that needed someone to talk to.
Shade may not be the best Puppysitter, but she was the best pack mate in the Sunset Crown Pack.
