River is the daughter of the pack's very first leader, Krypton. Her father was always very busy with pack duties and her mother always favored her sister, Pebble over her, since she was the one who always showed more interest in her role as a finisher. Despite this, Pebble and River always had a good relationship. River always felt a need to prove herself. Not just to her parents, but to the whole pack. Because of this, one day she decided to go out and hunt large prey the whole pack could feast on. Alone. As a pup. Obviously, she failed. She tried to attack a whitetail but was attacked by the whitetail instead. She wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for Orion, who was scouting nearby. He saved her from the deer and the two formed a friendship quickly. River learned a lot about scouting from him and decided to become a scout herself.
