Ridge was only the second permanent wolf to join the newly named Two Rivers Pack. Prior to pack life, Ridge was a wandering lone wolf well-suited to the somewhat solitary life of a scout. It was Freya that they befriended first when she encountered the loner during a routine patrol of the southern prairie.
They have more complicated internal thoughts about their gender, but suffice it to say they are nonbinary (they/them or occasionally he/him)-- although, they don't dislike being called by familial terms like mother when appropriate.
Ridge is quite stoic and calm-headed when working, but can become pessimistic and an overthinker when idle. Raegan jokes that they have a dark storm cloud over their tail that they just can't outrun.
This became even more true when Ridge regrettably fell pregnant with Raegan's children after a thoughtless moment. They had four pups, one of which was Colt: a malicious, angry child who wanted nothing to do with his parents.
Despite this, they enjoy their life and the company they keep. Ridge and Raegan are good friends with no lingering romance attached, and Ridge is able to explore the lands in service of the pack-- away from their storm cloud of a son.
