After a long journey across the desert, you stop at an oasis to quench your thirst. Suddenly, something rises from the water... Oh! Is that a wolf? She's giggling at you and calling you to the water with her!

Iara, the lady of the water.

Before being taken in by the Sinaaq tribe, Iara lived in a tribe in the rainforest with her family. She had great skills as a warrior and had been chosen as the successor of the tribe's leader, who was also her father. But this, of course, caused envy in many wolves, including her brothers who, unhappy with this, wanted to kill her and disappear with her body.

One night, they led the sister into an ambush far from the camp, but were surprised by the strength of the warrior wolf. Iara resisted, fought bravely and reversed the situation by committing the crime against them.

Afraid of her father's reaction, she ran away from home, but she was found and her father decided to throw her into a river as punishment for killing her brothers. Iara survived, but was carried away by the strong current of the river.

She was lost and helpless, hiding in the murky waters of the swamp when Iknipalagaq found her during one of his explorations. Her story touched Iknipalagaq's heart, and he decided to take her with him. She reluctantly accepted Iknipalagaq's invitation and moved to live with him in the deserts.

She knew it would be difficult to adjust to the new place, but her new family was there to help her through the whole process. Now she lives near rivers, making water her home. The wolves of the tribe refer to her as "the protective mother of fishermen" and "the lady of the water", the one who protects them from the dangers of the rivers.
