Alpha Irosylis

Irosylis is very much the responsible older brother within the Alhavenlan Pack. Many of the pack members respect him just like his parents and he keeps all of his siblings in line.

Irosylis had been guarding his pack when he spotted Revanas and Ellana barelling towards him. At first he assumed they were chasing a rabbit until he noticed the look of fear on their faces. Immediately he stood at the ready to face any threat chasing them but he was quickly met with panicked voices. Once he calmed the two of them down to get a coherent sentence out of them, Irosylis immediately rushed to where Team 3 had been hunting that day in the Taiga.

By the time he arrived with reinforcements, the battle had already came to a brutal end. Fenghi'lan, his mate, lay motionless and bloodied in the forest with Danyla standing shakily over her. She had quite the few bite marks and her right ear was completely torn to ribbons. "Get Danyla back to camp Team 1. Team 2, stay here and guard. Check for any lingering attackers and howl for help as soon as you spot any lone wolves." With the rest of the pack busy now, he rushed to observe his mate.

"Fenghi'lan?" he called out as Danyla was moved aside by the rest of her team and team 1. His heart sunk as she gave no response. Quickly, Irosylis gave her a once over. The large wound on her hind right leg was still present and noticably worse. It was a miracle she was still hunting given how severe it was by now. As for the other injuries, she had numerous bite marks to her front legs and one particularly deep one to the throat. "You've done the pack proud, my mate. I'm sorry I wasn't here to help you fight." he choked out as he settled beside her and laid down. "Dar atisha, ma vhenan."*

He stayed like that until dusk when the pack finally managed to pull him away from her. With much guilt and sorrow weighing him down, he remained with his pack and kept watch over his newly assigned borders. He was not going to let this happen again. Not as long as he still drew breath.

*"Dar atisha, ma vhenan." means "Go peacefully, my heart."

Months have passed since Fenghi'lan passed and Irosylis has slowly begun to move on from her. After all, he knows Fen wouldn't want him to mope around forever and dwell on what he could have done differently to save her. He also knew he needed to stay strong for his pups who were steadily growing with each passing day.

Irosylis gave a small huff as he shook himself from his thoughts. He could see the adolescents running back into camp with the newest packmember, Seranni, not far behind. He could hear her shouting at them to remember what she had just taught them and Irosylis felt a warm feeling come over him as he slowly approached her. "Thanks again for teaching them about hunting every day, Seranni." The younger wolf nearly jumped out of her fur. Apparently she wasn't expecting anyone else to approach her after the training was done. "Oh, Irosylis! You scared the daylights out of me." she mumbled before composing herself. "Of course though! It's no problem really and it's just something I enjoy doing. Besides, I see myself in some of these adolescents given how eager they are to hunt and well... It reminds me of home." Seranni said as her eyes seemed to glaze over with old memories before she shook out her fur and faced him. "But, enough of that. How's your day been?" Seranni fixed a goofy half grin on her face as she sat down beside him and watched the pack play nearby. Irosylis chuckled, "It's certainly better now. How'd they all do in the hunting practice today?" Seranni's eyes lit up as she went in depth to describe their day together, how well the adolescents did, and what they needed to work on a bit more before working on a team.

The conversation continued into the late evening, they hardly noticed the stars starting to peek through the fading sunlight as they sat together in a comfortable silence until the pack started preparing to rest. Reluctantly, the two headed their separate ways but before Seranni got too far he gave her a quick lick on the cheek and a wink before he wandered off to find a place to rest for the night. Leaving young Seranni stunned a moment longer before she shyly her way to a den she made the night before.
