Hawthorne wanted to explore, not sit around waiting to be chased away. And so he decided that with Naruto out of the league, he would set off on his journey. Bidding farewell to his adoptive parent's Hawthorne headed to his first new discovery.

Hawthorne spend about 12 days with the Noel Winter Eve pack. he grew into an adult during his stay. didn't take on a pack role , but learned what each role in the pack does to ensure the safety and well being of the pack. he also taught a pup lesson.

Hawthorne did his utmost to be just like Naruto. He thought he did a fairly good job of it too, not messing anything up or fumbling when he met new packs or hunted critters in the wild. He thought the old traveler would be proud, and agree that he was the right candidate to take his place in the worldwide league of wanderers.

In the desert, Hawthorne met another traveler named Julep. The two wolves traveled together in companionable silence. Julep was a desert veteran, and showed Hawthorne the lay of the land and where to find water.
Hawthorne had to return home, and therefore needed a new host. He discussed with Shadow Moon and the two of them found him another host so that he could keep exploring the world, just like Naruto.

Hawthorne arrived at the Court of Howls in summer and was welcomed by the elder lead Dante.The females of the pack seemed quite excited and, after a bit of investigation, Hawthorne discovered that it was because Tessho had just been appointed as the new breeding male of the pack.Hawthorne found it funny that they were all fawning after Tessho as if he was the most important thing in the whole world, but it was also true that Hawthorne didn't know that much about females and mating, so maybe that was normal.Honestly, he found it more interesting to check out butterflies and small critters rather than silly females.

Hawthorne found his way to Clemensly a few days before winter was to set in. The pack seemed to have a habit of taking in wolves for the winter. Spirits were pretty low, as the pack had recently lost 3 of its members to old age, as well as a pup to a hawk. But with the arrival of a traveler, and thus new stories, everyone was able to find peace, especially the many pups currently living in the pack, who busied themselves with various antics, and making Hawthorne an accomplice to their little puppy crimes.

During Hawthorne's time in the Tallpeak Tribe, he spent a lot of time exploring the dreamlands. While he was there, he met an unusual looking jaguar cub that would not stop following him. Unable to find the cub's mother, he decided to take care of it himself.

Hawthorne found himself in the tundra, where he was met by a decently large pack said to go by the name Fox Slayers. The name spiked an interest in the male and the wolves offered him a place, trusting the traveller with their pups. A particular pup caught his attention. Her pelt was an astounding red, with a tinge of gold, grey and brown smudged onto her sides. Her muzzle and paws were a soft pink with a vibrant red surrounding the smooth colour. Her eyes were soulless and eerie. Faint blue spots in her eye sockets. Pounding veins shadowed the powdery, palish colour. Hawthorne found himself staring into the creatures eyes, only averting his gaze when the pups mother let out a scoff. The traveller rose to his paws and lied down beside the she-wolf. The two wolves chatted away almost immediately. Hawthorne asked questions about the pup one after the other. His dedication to find out all about the strange wolf caused him to act a bit demanding.
Zinnia, the pups mother, didn't seem to mind the overflowing concern of the wolf. Instead, she told him all about her daughter, happy that he's taken such an interest in her. The male ended up staying in the pack for over a week, watching after a few energetic pups before leaving the packs territory in search of another.

[Karrugang #8093 added purple twisting essence]Hawthorne stumbled upon Dhuara pack during one of the most joyous and busiest times of year, not only were there many newborn and young pups, but the Lunar Event was in full swing. Nayeli, the leader, barely had time to greet Hawthorne before she left to resume her duties. The other travelers in Dhuara Pack explained that the Lunar Event was a big deal for Dhuara Pack, it's a week where they celebrate the moon and its gifts, and visit the dreamlands in their sleep.
The leader is always busy because she trades and battles in the dreamland. Hawthorne did his best to help by taking on the pupsitter role, and Nayeli thanked him by gifting him purple twirling essence from the dreamlands. [Hawthorne broke again. he got stuck on the pupsitter role so i suggest not giving him that role again]

Hawthorne found himself in a large deciduous forest as night began to fall. The sunset painted the red and orange and yellow leaves of autumn a lovely golden color that he stopped to admire for a few minutes. He walked further into the trees and began to notice large clouds forming in the distance. It looked like rain was coming, but the shelter of the trees would be just what he needed. He noticed a blue mist rolling along at the base of the trees and followed it curiously.
A bark from within the trees caught him off guard. "You there! You're in Starshade territory! You're traveling, are you not?"
Hawthorne looked up to see a large male, lean and built for running, watching him from further in the trees. He didn't sound annoyed or angry though. And his pelt seemed to give off an almost eerie glow.
"I am traveling, yes. My name is Hawthorne. I've come looking for a new place to rest for a bit," Hawthorne introduced.
"Welcome, then! I'm Jelle, a chaser for the Starshade Pack. There's about to be a storm soon, so you should head back with me," Jelle said, turning to head into the trees.
"You're glowing, is that normal?" Hawthorne asked, following behind the reddish male.
"Yes. This forest is filled with lunar energy. Sometimes lunar creatures visit, but it's quiet today. I think they sense the storm. The wolves of the Starshade Pack glow because we've been exposed to the lunar energy for so long. I glow a bit brighter because my pelt has lunar marks. The lunar energy resonates with me more," Jelle explained happily.
Suddenly a streak of blue lightning tore through the leaves and made Hawthorne yelp in panic. The rumble came moments later, though it appeared none of the trees had been harmed.
"The storm is coming through from the lunar realm, don't worry. It won't hurt these trees, but it might hit us. Let's get back to the den, this way!" Jelle lead Hawthorne to the densest part of the forest, so dense not even starlight would shine through. The roots grew so close together that hollows could be seen in the ground, dug out and make cozy by the wolves of the pack.
"Welcome to the Starshade Pack. We live under the shade of the stars. Let's chat some more, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here," Jelle woofed warmly.
Hawthorne and Jelle spent their time exchanging stories about their journeys and Jelle showed Hawthorne chasing techniques to bring back to his home. As a parting gift, Jelle found some irises and told Hawthorne to plant them in his home territory and remember him and the Starshade Pack.

Lore: Hawthorne soon found himself at another pride. They called thimselves the Adolphous pack. He loved being around the pups even though he couldn't pup sit. He instead told stories and mentored a few pups and adols. During his stay another world was opened within the Decidious forest. When asked it was explained to be the lunar world. While out exploring the territory one night the lunar wold visited. During that time a large purple flame engulfed everything yet didn't seem to harm it at the same time. It never seemed to leave Hawthorne and eventually he grew accustomed to it.
