Short-tempered and aggressive, Monte is a loose cannon in social groups and in hunting parties. He is steadfastly loyal to Nanook, admiring her fairness and compassion. Monte enjoys teasing Chaska, mostly out of jealousy, though he would not admit it. He is physically larger than all of the other wolves, but not as bright.
