Story: Aura found himself in the presence of an old she-wolf. Minerva, the alpha introduced herself and explained to the young traveler that her pack's home was nearby. He was welcome to stay for a time, if he needed food and rest, or if he simply needed company. Aura gladly accepted, and he stayed with the Lone Ridge Pack for many moons, learning of the pack's history and watching how the pack interacted. He grew fond of the pack, but alas, the road was calling to him once more. The old she-wolf wished him luck on his journey, admiring how adventurous the young wolf was. It was a bittersweet goodbye, as Aura continued on his travels, wondering what would await him down the road...
65437 story:
Long and loud howl of catches Aura's attention. Two wolves howl in the woods, one of them is black and the other is blue with greenish stripes. Pure grief and sorrow runs through their song. After that, young and old canines start to play. They run, nibble at each other, then blue wolf vanishes in the night, leaving her friend behind. Black one notices Aura and introduces wolfself as Gray Oak, the lead of North pack.
"Why don't u tell me about ur friend?" Aura asks when Oak just invites them to rest and eat with pack.
"Which friend?" Oak confusedly blinks, turning his head around to see the object of talk.
"This blue wolf you played with." White youngster tilts his head in curiosity.
Oak's neck and back fur puffs up in fear.
"How did you see her?" Oak's eyes are twitching, as hir's searching for a reason.
"Why I couldn't? Is she kind of invisible or what?" Aura nervously laughing, a bit scared of senior behaviour.
"Ah. You're one of Dead Talkers. How I couldn't notice your bands. That was Lunarstripe. She died years ago from rabid bear. Luna was my closest friend, and she occasionally visits me here, in the world of Alives." Oak gets calmer with each word, after this story he just sits down and starts to scratch behind hirs ear. Mention of Luna seems to calm his anxious soul down.
"Oh, I'm very sorry for your loss." Traveler tilts his head down in respect to senior's strong friendship. "But what did you mean by Dead Talkers?"
Old wolf stops scratching and looks at albino in confusion.
"Don't you know? White wolves like you are raised as a bridge between dead and alive worlds. It's kinda rare, but it's helpful if there's a murder of a wolf and the killer needs to be found. Or some other like this." He licks his lips and lays down, inviting Aura to do the same with tail move.
"Here." He draws something on the sand. "I'll tell you how to get to the nearest temple, if you're interested to know more. But its a very dangerous route. You'll meet a lot of packs, and some of them, like Rattlesnake Cult will try to kill or even brainwash you. So, think deeply and while you do it, you can stay here, with my group."
"I gladly accept your offer. But I'm just a traveler, the Wolf Laws will protect me." Aura chuckles and shrugs off. This old anxious dude just tries to scare him!
"These youngsters." Oak waves his head. "My mates will teach you a few tricks to not die. Come."
Several weeks later Aura, filled with knowledge about dangers and surviving, continues his journey to the temple of Dead Talkers to solve the mystery of white wolves....
