The wind surges in pulses, but never dies down completely. It hasn't stopped for days, and neither has the snow. What was once barren, rocky ground is now covered in more snow than you've ever seen in your life. How, or if, anything can survive here is a mystery to you. The only shelter you've been able to find is by digging down in the powdery snow until you reach something solid enough to shield you -- even then, your time to rest is limited, lest you get buried again in the blizzard.
The wind howls around you in another pulse, taking your breath away. Yet even when the strength of the wind slows again, the howling does not.
Startled, you spin around, squinting as the snow burns your eyes. You're greeted by the sight of a glowing falcon swooping towards you and, with a yelp, you duck. Peeking back up a moment later, you see a form approaching you, defined more by purple glowing beads than anything else. Close behind the invisible figure is a snow-dusted sand-colored young wolf and a soft beige wolf with flower-smeared fur. The first figure is directly next to you before you realize it is a pure white wolf. In any other environment, the pale fur and pink nose, eyes, and skin would be a detriment, but here in this frosty wasteland, it is perfectly suited to the environment.
The wolf opens her mouth and you strain to hear her words.
