Named after his great grandfather on his father's side.
Samara, Peregrine, Atticus.
Maven enjoys being the youngest of his siblings from his own litter, finding it doesn't hold him back. Samara and Peregrine are very supportive of the family, and while Atticus seems to have high expectations of himself, he doesn't force that onto his siblings. Maven feels close to his mother, and grateful that him and his siblings get along..
... because no one can turn a blind eye to the deputy's kids...
There's competition between them, and Romin herself seems to hold it against them that they were born...
