Venom

Venom looks at the two Faelcu with interest and puzzlement as they circle him before taking their spots beside him. A few feet in front of him, his father, Hades nods at him before speaking up to reassure him. "My friends, Cain and Gael, joined me when I was your age. I'm growing older now son and probably won't live to see you mature into a strong wolf. However, my friends shall guide you and give you company." Hades steps forward and puts his nose to Venom's shoulder before stepping away. "You shall make a wonderful hunter, Venom." He finishes before walking off and taking a spot by an old pine tree.


Venom stands proudly in the center of a crowd of wolves. It was his first hunt and he was successful in bringing down a young bull elk. He soaks in the attention but he can't help but look at the solid black forms of his mother and father. He smiles widely when he sees their pride and he departs from the group to go to them. As he meets them his mother licks and cleans his face and despite his age he leans into it. "Mother I'm an adult now. I brought down my own kill." She smiles softly and gives him one last kiss. "I know, but despite age you're still my son." Venom turns to Hades and bows his head in respect to his father. Hades nods and presses his nose to Venom's shoulder. "I'm proud of you son. You have grown to be a fine hunter. Join me later by the pine tree and I'll bring you along for a hunt." After that Hades turns and walks away with Persephone still gushing about how proud she is.
