Alphess Aster's successor, her son Coryn, takes the stage to continue his mother's era. While hot blooded and often short tempered, many worry this era may end in tragedy. Coryn is not well known among the pack, an adequate hunter at best, and he seems rather aware of such unease, taking a distant cousin as his ruling companion, where the only similarity they carry is the blood of the first alpha in their veins. Salga is said to be Coryn's better half, level headed and calm, keeping the alpha under control. Was this intentional or forced upon them by Alphess Aster before her passing? While the balance seems appropriate, the pack grows and wanderers are prowling the outskirts more frequently, sneaking in from time to time under the guise of trade and story. Many feel a sense of concern for these outsiders who do not follow the ways of the sun blessed...is there an uprising on the horizon? The whispers of such rumors slowly begin to rise and the pack....begins to feel divided. The old generation, the great fathers and queens of this territory have nearly all been forgotten...their names remaining as fading whispers...their visages all forgotten to time. Dangerous times appear to be arriving and many worry that Coryn will lack the strength to do what is necessary.

The final eerie nights, lit only by the bonfires, has Coryn on edge for the future as he sits beside his mate. Thanks to the witches that have come and gone, he had power to fight off illnesses caused by the unusually hot summer heat. Yet, the alpha can feel the days of magic wane, just the moon alters its shape. He wonders how his pack will fair if the heat continues for once his power is gone, there will be no way to heat such an illness. The thought has the alpha unusually quiet. He has grown the pack beyond it's usual boundaries. Different wolves have come and gone. The corruption has left a hold on one of the pups even, their eye remaining as red as the blood in their veins, but Coryn knows it hides more... He has begun seeking outside wolves, to stir the blood within the pack, but lately, out of the corner of his eye, he swears he sees a strange lithe canine, but he brushes the thought aside. He is not like those before him, but the crown begins to weigh heavy. How will the alpha fair in the coming years?
