• Eyes: One red, one black. His red eye deepens or lightens like his mother's depending on his mood.

Abilities unknown as of yet. He's the first spirit walker in our lore.

Hecate's Song to Royal
Safe and Sound

"I have you with me when I close my eyes. And you have me with you when you close yours."

"It's okay to let go of the pain of losing me, because you haven't. I'll always be here for you."

"I'm not alone over here. There are others, others you can't see that are nice and wonderful. Dont worry.."

Since Royal was made known inside of his mother's womb, he knew he would not make it. There was something more, something bigger than even him that had to be done for the greater good and he had to be apart of it. Royal gave up his life to make his mother stronger to complete her prophecy, and in doing so, was granted a life of a spirit walker.

Though it may seem like a lonely life, he still gets to see and be around his family. They may not all see him, but he makes himself known to those who can.

Royal is kind, selfless, and pure. He knows no anger or sadness. He knows no evil or impurity.

He is love.

..Hecate was in a short coma after her battle with Darcadius where she miscarried her baby; Royal..

While in a coma, Hecate holds Royal as a baby as if she had just given birth to him. Wrapped up in a black blanket, he coo'd up at her. His hair was black with white streaks in the front. Hecate rubbed her finger down his forehead and over his button nose, smiling down at him as he giggled up to her.

She'd spend what would feel like years in the coma with him, teaching him how to talk and walk. Playing with him and growing up together. In reality, it was only a few days. Their world was empty besides the two of them, living inside the Hallows grounds together.

Every now and then though, they would see their family as if time was echoing itself into their dimension. It was hazey versions of them, see through and nearly blurry. Their voices would echo as they talked to eachother and eventually, they found where Hecate's body laid with them surrounding her. Hecate took Royal away from that spot and never returned.

When he would reach age six, he would tell his mom that it was okay to go back. It was okay to leave him to return to her world and that he would be okay.

She fought that idea of returning but Royal smiled to her and said "Mommy, Daddy needs you. And so does Uncle Salem and Judis, and Auntie Sigyn."

"You need me." She poked his chest softly, making him giggle, her own sad smile showing at the sound of his laughter, her favorite sound.

"But I already have you. I have you with me when I close my eyes. And you have me with you when you close yours."

She hesitated at his words before pulling him into her chest, holding him tightly and him holding her with as much as his little hands could. "It'll be okay Mommy." He said, making Hecate sob against him. She knew she had to go back but her heart was torn into a million pieces with the thought of leaving him. She closed her eyes tightly as she held Royal and took in her last moment of him.

And then.. her eyes would open and tears would fall into her ears and hairline as she laid on the stone table. Her hands instinctively moved to touch her stomach which was flatter than before and it broke her heart all over again. "It'll be okay Mommy.." His voice echoed in her head through her memories.
