Biography
It has been sometime since Anasatasia & Margaret's passing, Beskyddare worked hard to raise all his daughters. His children are nearly all grown up, rough housing with their uncle Ghoul and auntie Kit. His four daughters are growing up to be happy and healthy even in their situation. The two oldest sisters, one from each of their mothers live in Hell's Guardians with their grandparents.
Beskyddare went back to his old pack shortly after his mates passed, to meetup with his parents. As hard as it was for him emotionally, he wanted his girls to have a strong and loving bond with their grandparents. Two of which grew extra close to them, having then decided to let them live there. The sisters even decided to have strong bonds with one another, even switching homes every so often to experience living in both packs.
After the Cataclysms and fulfilling his duty to protect the Kinfolk. Beskyddare had one other responsibility he wanted to accept. The twins told him before where a hidden lush cave was located, an albino pup sitting there alone, they would visit him and keep him company. This was a forgotten soul lost to the world. The twins never convinced him to leave and rarely hear him speak, they cared about and wanted to bring light to his world. Beskyddare already felt bad for this pup he heard about, but after losing his mates he knew he needed to be there for the pup.
After locating the cave, Beskyddare found the pup sitting beside a campfire. Sitting on moss near a still water source beside the fire, the only light from the fire and bioluminescent plants on the cave walls. He stares into the flames, remaining motionless where he could be mistaken for a statue. His gaze fixed upon the crackling flames, not even acknowledging Beskyddare's presence.
"Good morning," Beskyddare says, taking a seat next to the pup. "Anything newsworthy happen while I was gone?" He jokes, in hopes for a response. "Hm? Suppose not? You know, it would be amazing to sit outside some time with you. During the day, the sky is bright and blue. Sometimes, you can see these white shapes floating high above us called clouds. Then at night, there are these tiny lights called stars filling the sky!" His expressions enthusiastically. "It's almost like another world, been told I have good dancing feet." He winks at the pup, hinting at his powers. "Why don't you join me tonight?" The pup slightly shakes his head. "Come on! It'll be amazing!" Beskyddare puts his paw on the pups back."
"S-said no," the pup's mouth opens, a whimper of words being said.
Before Beskyddare knew what happened, his body was pushed away as he crashed into the cave wall. The pups head lowers, shaking with his our standing up. Scared and frustrated of himself.
Beskyddare gets to his feet, shaking himself off. He takes a seat beside the pup once again, apologizing for his forcefulness. He gently rubs the pups back, reassuring him it's not his fault nor is he upset with him. Even though the pup is hurting, no tears form in his eyes. Not from a lack of emotions, but Beskyddare knows the pups tears have run out, a feeling he knows all too well.
When the pup relaxes a little, he sits up and resumes staring at the flames like before. Beskyddare places a small catch in front of the pup to eat.
Beskyddare spends the next several hours just talking, nothing in particular, just to have the pup hear his voice and know he's not alone.
Later returning to Soul-Bound, Beskyddare is jumped by his girls. His parents surprise him for a visit as his daughters work together to pin him and howl in victory. He smiles and is grateful for his loving family and pack, knowing their mothers are watching them from above. Without the twins, he wouldn't have any of this now. He only wants to bring the same happiness to that pup.
Every week, Beskyddare returns to the cave and sits with the pup. Having a one sided conversation and bringing him food, the pup never eats with him there. Then again, there's never a sign he ate at all as no remains are left behind, he just hopes the pup is eating. The pup remains silent and unresponsive, a motionless statue as his eyes remain locked onto the flames, not even blinking except on rare occasions. The weeks turning into months, then years. The pup remained relatively the same age, having been years before the pup appeared to become adolescence.
Beskyddare would be lying if there wasn't a handful of times he believed the pup had passed away in that position. Along with hundreds of other questions. Beskyddare would be lucky to even hear the pup speak a single word in a year, which always had the pup visually scared.
He told the pup many stories and now at the point of repeating some of them, even telling a few other wolves experiences through life. Talking, to just be there for the pup.
Putting his paw around the pup, he holds the wolf close. "You don't have to be alone anymore," Beskyddare holds the pup against his chest. šµIf you feel lost and in need, I will hold you close and listen to your voice. I don't care if you are cursed or are seen through the eyes of misfortune. I am the guardian of Soul-Bound and will be your light during these hard times.šµ Beskyddare lets the pup go, feeling him pull away. šµI know you want to be understood and be loved. Even if the weight of the world wants to hold you down, even when your heart is heavy. I will help carry it for you, I am here to tell you that you have a home where you can be loved. I just ask that you don't give up.šµ
"C-can't... Iā¦ Iā¦ no love," The pup's eyes form a single tear as he runs away deeper into the lush cave.
Finding his body frozen, Beskyddare is unable to move until the wolf is long gone. With no other choice, he turns around and leaves for the day, soon to return to check on the pup when he can.
During his next, the wolf is nowhere to be seen. The fire is lit but he can not locate the pup, not even when exploring deeper into the cave. He comes back everyday, continuing to be unable to find the pup. He begins questioning himself, wondering if what he did was the wrong thing. Beskyddare just wanted to make the pup happy, to give him a home and chance like he was once given.
The fire gradually becomes smaller with each visit, until the raging flame is nothing more than embers. Beskyddare lies by the remaining embers, passing out as he waits for the wolf.
As the remaining embers are extinguished, Beskyddare wakes to a faint growling. Looking up, the monstrous wolf who attacked his pack and took his mates is standing above him. Beskyddare scrambles back and gets to his feet, breathing frantically. As his half awake eyes focus, the wolf he thought he saw is not the one in front of him. It was actually the albino pup, his breathing begins to stabilize as he sees something he could not before. This pupā¦ is the son of the merged monster.
"S-sore ree." The pup attempts to apologize, by writing on the ground afraid to speak.
Beskyddare places his paw on the pup's head, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried pushingā" he stops seeing the pup writing again.
"It kee."
"It's alright, you can speak." Beskyddare reassures him, not going to judge him by his mothers actionsā¦ even if she did take his mates from him.
The pup's ears and tail drop, looking at the ground scared. Doing his best to be as cautious as he can with his limited vocabulary. "Meā¦ homeā¦ helpā¦ loveā¦ please?" The pup jumbles out anxiously waiting.
Beskyddare walks up to the pup, putting his paw around him holding him close. "Of course, let's go home."
"T-thankā¦ youā¦"
