A few weeks after the pups' arrival, a golden wolf stalked out of the woods and approached Morrow. He had a honeyed tongue and quickly convinced Morrow not only that he should be introduced to Mist but that it was Morrow's idea and not his own. He assured the pack of his many virtues and his prowess as a hunter. He was allowed to stay on as a trial as Mist knew the pack sorely needed experienced hunters, many of her own wolves being fairly green. With her two quickly growing sons, the pack needed all the prey it could capture. From the day he stepped foot in their territory, strife ensued. Sunset sowed discord as easily as a dandelion spread its seeds. As a pup in a discordant pack, Sunset had learned early that easy-to-anger wolves would leave him alone if they had trouble with one another. The Stinging Nettle quickly fell prey to this different sort of hunter. When Mist put the source of the rumors and strife to a face, she relieved Sunset from the hunting party and placed him on scouting duty, determined to have peace in her pack. The male wolf's size and ferocity put her ill-at-ease with the thought of turning him out; she was sure the injuries would be great if he fought, and so for now the dishonest fellow stays.
