Nifiyah

When usurper Esper took over, the rules and standards that dictated which wolves could were allowed to become pack members were severely overhauled. To the point where most pups born into the pack faced death or abandonment. And elders began to mysteriously disappear before their natural deaths…Most new pack members were adopted into the pack, with Esper being the one to pick the pup for wannabe parents. Suspicions spread that Esper meant to destroy the original members and bloodlines of the Wolves of the Beyond and replace them with her wolves, keeping the prestige, reputation, and weight of their packs renowned name but replacing them all with her own twisted version. The revelation that Esper had even turned Nightfire the daughter of the beloved late Alpha Asakiri, into her own lifeless marionette shook the remaining Wolves of the Beyond to their very bones.

So when Nightfire gave birth to her final litter, the pack tried to hide them until they could smuggle them to the enclave once they were weaned, to ensure the great bloodline survived. But Esper's enforcers caught them mid journey. Esper followed not long after to lay judgement. Sure enough, the litter was quickly "taken care of" as Esper liked to put it, but she held one remaining pup tight in her jaws. The first born and rightful heir. Without another word, Esper carried the pup back to camp, her enforcers herding the would be pup smugglers back with her.

No explanation given to the pack, Esper named the pup herself and handed it to one of her loyal enforcers. The pup would be known as Nifiyah. A mockery of her mother's name. The newer pack wolves didn't bother to question where she came from, or whose pup she was. They were far too enamored with and brainwashed by Esper to question those kinds of things and never spared the shell of a wolf that was Nightfire so much as a glance.

The following morning Esper presented the final pup to the pack, and declared her the omega, and that she would begin her duties starting immediately. The few remaining original Wolves of the Beyond were dismayed, especially upon seeing the new wolves whoop and howl with glee at having an outlet for their stress. Omegas were always historically either criminals, or the grown pups of criminal parents. But never the legal descendants of Alphas and their bloodline and never literal pups! With this move, Esper had officially stomped and spat on the very notion an Alpha known as Asakiri ever existed. And none dared challenge or correct her. All the while Nifiyah innocently smiled as she looked up at pack who sneered down at her. Nifiyah would never know her true lineage and rightful place as Alpha. She would be a lowly Omega, and would never question it.
