Mulberry

Mulberry's not had it easy in life, and it shows in how it's colored his perspective. Chased out of his previous pack because his father "didn't have time to deal with sick and useless wolves", Mulberry stumbled around the tundra struggling to feed himself in the midst of his persistent cough. In fact, he'd almost given up entirely and laid down to die; at least, until Viridian encountered him while out scouting. He managed to annoy him enough to get him to get to his feet, avoiding his blistering tongue by virtue of being completely deaf. Almost curious despite himself as to what the fellow yearling wanted from him, and not having anything else going on, Mulberry followed the younger wolf, where he led him straight to the sanctuary of the Garden of the Gods: an impossible grove planted between the great glaciers of the north. While he's still firmly of the mind that no god would just create a place like this out of the goodness of their heart and is fully waiting for the shoe to drop, there's a small part of him, deep deep down, that almost dares to hope again.

It seems like an ideal day, but Mulberry is insistent that something is bound to go wrong.

Mulberry seems a bit bored with the prospect of watching the pups, but he shrugs and agrees to keep watch over them.

Mulberry gives his god a tired smile before launching into his usual complaints. He suddenly stops to show Aleph something among his belongings and offer it to him. He don't want it, so it's Aleph's now.
