Lore: It was a stormy night in the Taiga when the sleek black wolf first came upon the Shady Willow pack, he'd been looking for a place to take shelter from the pouring rain when he happened upon the packs leader Barclay. The wolf's anxious disposition was something he hadn't dealt with much, but when Blackbird explained that he was a traveling wolf far from his home pack, just looking for a place to plant his roots for a bit, Barclay let out a sigh of relief and invited him to stay with a smile and a wag of the tail.

During Blackbird's first day in the pack he took up the role of a hunter, and he got along surprisingly well with his hunting partners. On the way back from one of their hunts, as he was helping drag in the latest catch, some puppies came tumbling out of the pupsitter den, chasing each other around with excited barks. In doing so, Tuna accidentally bowls into his paws, nearly tripping him up. A grey merle wolf with a wild grey mohawk pads out of the den a few moments after, gently chiding the pup's for causing trouble for Blackbird.

Blackbird decides soon after that he'd prefer to help out with the pups, and so he takes on the role of a pupsitter. Going on to help in teaching lessons to train the pups of Shady Willow pack. Turns out that he fit in with the role of pupsitter much better, as all the pup's loved to play with him and hear storied about where he'd come from.

He grew quite fond of Midnight Omen, the pair of wolves enjoying spending time together, from walks to swims. They became inseparable, and Blackbird is now the proud father of four pups.
