ALL HAIL THE LONG LOST DEERWOLF

All he remembered was his herd (or pack?) being attacked. Hooves clopped on the ground, and howls echoed in the wind. His deerwolf pack, his home, was being sieged. Caribou could tell that there wasn't any hope, both the Ferrises and Volukroses were attacking this time, and the Deerwolf pack was outnumbered, outmatched. Caribou let out a threatening growl, but was kicked into a pile of rocks, them collapsing over him. Then, everything went black.

Caribou woke up later. The sun was shining and a cool breeze ruffled his fur. The nice weather felt like an insult after what he had gone through. Caribou dug himself out of the rocks, and was shocked to see the world was so... colorful. The ground was brown, like his pelt, and rainbow flowers sprouted all around him. This was so different from his lunar realm, where everything shared the same, blue tint.

Caribou was more intrigued the more he explored. It was almost as this planet existed in a universe parallel to his. Grass grew, birds sing, wolves howled. But, the grass was covered with clear dew, unlike the ones speckled with lunar dust at his home. Birds sang in the harsh, bright daylight, not the gentle, lulling, moonlight. Caribou kept looking around this strange world, until he heard a growl. Curling his lips, he swished his tail. A wolf came out. Not a deerwolf, but just a wolf.
