peacemaker and storyteller, kaniksu is a born leader who nonetheless has never longed to be in charge. she does not desire power so much as she desires a calm & thriving place in which to live, and she appears to have found that in oyate. though she is well-built and skilled for combat, she restricts those instincts to her place as a hunter. often lends her assistance to absaroka, and the two have formed an extremely close bond.
kaniksu is extremely popular amongst oyate for the way she spins her tales, and every evening typically sees a small gathering around her as she shares the nightly story, whether made up entirely or a retelling of something she has experienced. she maintains a wealth of old tales from her previous pack, and is eager to pass them along; she has recently taken escalante under her wing to pass the art of storytelling to the next generation.
