One of Smoke's followers. Current was a member of the pup Rapid's former pack. Rapid was the pup chosen to represent the Riparian Woodland in order to fulfill the Sleeplanders' mission for Rime to adopt one pup from each habitat. After Rapid's death, Smoke encountered a pack of wolves who were searching for their missing pup. This pup turned out to be Rapid herself, who had been washed away in the stream. Smoke then decided to take advantage of the situation by telling the Riparian pack that Rapid didn't drown, but was instead kidnapped and murdered by Rime pack. With this lie, he would rile up the Riparian pack, and promised that he would help them get revenge on Rime when the time came.
Current had happened to be Rapid's pupsitter. Smoke told Riparians that he would come up with a plan for them to come after Rime, but Current had been remorseful for losing their precious pup, and decided he would come along with Smoke and fulfill their plan. Smoke would then tell him about the Wolf of Flame, and how she would be the key to taking down Rime, which Current was thoroughly on board with. With Current's support, Smoke hopes that he might be able to sway the former's entire pack into the Wolf of Flame's cause.
