All the other adolescents seemed confused about her arrival in Fledgling Fernery. They'd bombard her with so many questions too!
"Who are you?"
"How old are you?"
"Wanna be friends?"
So annoying! Her only response was to fluff up her nest and sleep. They had no business asking so many questions in the middle of the day anyway. At least the leader understood, she allowed her the kindness of not forcing her to join a hunting team until she got settled in. A certain greenish wolf didn't like that though...
"Don't you think it's so unfair how some wolves don't contribute anything to the pack?" Iris Agate had whispered loudly to Bliss
She just laughed uncomfortably as a reply. Seconds later, the wolf with orange blots, Caramel Jasper walked in and spoke:
"I know what you're doing...leave her alone! And as if you contribute anything"
"Except being annoying" said Caramel Jasper, this last part under his breath
It was just close enough for her to hear. The newcomer smiled.
"That was brother, tell me when he's being annoying and I'll tear his face off with my words" Caramel Jasper said to her with determination
She nodded.
"And, you can call me C.J. if you want, ok?"
She nodded again, with happiness in her mind that didn't quite reach her face.
