deco is mute— he can technically still speak, but it causes him a lot of pain and discomfort, so he prefers to show his appreciation through gifts and actions instead of speaking.
deco lost his eye to a cougar whilst protecting one of his hunt-mates during a hunt gone wrong. at first he was ashamed and upset, but after a while he learned to love his scars and he now shows them off proudly.
deco loves collecting things— feathers, shiny objects, sticks. you name it, he probably has it; he's a bit of a hoarder, but don't tell him that.
^^ if you give him a gift in return, he will love you forever.

During the lesson: insurrection was dropped on a very crackly underbrush with a lot of pebbles today. The challenge was to make the least amount of sound possible and get to deco | hc carrier in less than five minutes, otherwise they had to start over. It was a very cronchy day.
