Laudable Lagoon

Lagoon was part of the Emerald Stone Pack before dispersing to find a pack of his own. His journey down the mountain was uneventful, but while crossing the grasslands he came across a wolf with a coat of flame. The two wolves were of a similar age and size, so Lagoon offered a respectful greeting boof.
The flaming wolf dipped his head respectfully, his mouth full of feathers, but his grey eyes were examining the mountain-wolf.
Lagoon began the conversation, "Good afternoon friend, do you know of anywhere I may rest for the night?"
The grass-wolf stuck the feathers between his paws and replied, "Yes. I am part of a pack that you could visit. They took me in when my previous pack in the desert could not care for me any longer."
Thus began a visit that would never end.
