A messenger's role is to carry messages between affiliated packs, and occasionally to carry emergency messages to scouts and Alsacian travellers, such as if the camp was unsafe to return to. This is a reckless job at times. Sometimes, a scout or a hunter may also fill the role of messenger. At other times, if a few messengers are necessary or there is a surplus of wolves in the pack, a messenger role may become the wolf's sole job. They go through the same training as scouts at adolescence- but they are also able to become messengers later on in life as a role change.
