Rydel

Rydel lived a hard and treacherous existence, his beginnings were nothing of ease his mother nearly starved and his father banished from a crumbling pack led to a spiraling illness of his mother's heart and head. Her eyes were feverish and angry and the soles of her paws and cartilage of her ears rotted and peeled. It had been an illness sweeping the land for ages but now could finally not be outran. He would spend much of his younger years trying to leave behind what he witnessed and saw time after time in pack after pack. He grew hopeless of peaceful life and lost sight of abundance. Rydel made truth and "justice" with what he had which was his own teeth and claws. He survived an encounter with the cannibalistic pack of the Desert Devils (or expansion as some call it) which eventually was taken over by Alphonsus after they ate their old leader at his command. Rydel doesn't live without reason, Yeoman as a young pup came into his life and was a quick and sharp apprentice making way into Rydel's heart even to be close to earning the title equivalent of kin. Of course they both have their flaws but it made Rydel's existence less lonely. Rydel has no motives other than surviving and often only thinks of himself and Yeoman often letting others take the fall in danger when necessary to escape peril.
