Biography
Oaken always looked up to Chariot, admiring her craftwolfship and her foraging skills. He silently watched her from outside the herbalist's ring (a ring of bushes for the herbalist to put his/her item). Often he'd find himself is small nooks of the opening messing with herbs healing small cuts on himself. Although he though Chariot would never find out about his little side hobby, he wasn't too hidden when he stuck out like a sore paw when a dark brown object was between the lush green bushes but Charoit never minded.
Often days Oaken would keep to himself, listening in on conversation to keep caught up, and occasionally checking on his small herb stash to make sure any critters had gotten into it. That night he went to bed as usual, nothing was wrong.
The next morning he was shaken away by the yowls of one of the huntswolves that had gotten hurt as usual. But the yowling continued.. on and on, over and over. He could hear other wolves scrambling around, searching for Chariot.
Oaken quickly got out of the adult's den in a frenzy like the others searching for Chariot but she was nowhere to be seen. Oaken quickly ran into the herbalist's ring and everything just froze. He no longer heard the yowls, no paws racing on the ground, no pups with their sleepy cries. Nothing.
It was as if she was there. All the herbs were their, the medicines too. But no sign of her.Chariot would never up and leave like that, she loved her pack, she grew up there. Especially without her herbs.
Oaken quickly search through everything grabbing an open wound treatment and rushing back out, and everything had resumed. He dashed to the yowling hunter to apply the soothing treatment and his yowls turned to happy licks of thankfulness all over Oaken's face.
Now that everywolf had calmed and the sun began to rise, the true issue started to emerge. The pack had no herbalist.
Ritual had observed Oaken's herbalist like behaviours over the past few months and knew that oaken would be the next perfect herbalist. Soon Ritual called a howl and Oaken was crowned the pack herbalist.
With a bit of experience within his paws he got straight to work gathering more and more herbs to supply the very clumbys hunters and scouts and everywolf had just, forgot, about Chariot. But in the back of his mind Oaken still thought of her everyday, and where she may have gone.
