first lesson;
— hiding (speed, 3hrs)

During the lesson: barbie in da dreamhouse was serious as they explained that even the best hiding spot won't save your life if you reveal yourself too soon. seven learned how to limit body movement and noise in dangerous situations.

second lesson;
— bird watching (speed, 2hrs)
— mentor; ozymandias
During the lesson: seven pounced on the birds after she successfully lured them to come closer. Catching them was more important than chasing when it came to birds, and it was the best reward for such a long wait.

third lesson;
— chasing & escaping (speed, 1hr)
— mentor; keener
During the lesson: seven spent this lesson racing with her littermates. Everyone is different and has their own strengths, and keener | alb carrier made sure that everyone knew that one day they would become the best version of themselves.

fourth lesson;
—working together (smarts, 3hrs)
— mentor; teto
During the lesson: seven had some problems with drawing a line between teamwork and playtime with her littermates. teto was serious when they told them that bonding and working together were not the same thing.

fifth lesson;
— effective killing (smarts, 2hrs)

During the lesson: seven tested out some killing techniques on the carcass. darling | deaf explained which methods take the most strength, but are also the quickest, which saves energy and spares the prey from suffering.

sixth lesson;
— socialisation (smarts, 1hr)
— mentor; darling
During the lesson: Today's lesson looked like a day full of play and fun, but darling | deaf carefully observed relations between all the pups which included their likes, dislikes, and personalities. seven didn't seem to be problematic.

seventh lesson;
— pathfinding (strength, 3hrs)
— mentor; luka
During the lesson: seven learned about many different areas located far away from the den from luka today. seven told her she would like to see everything, from snow-covered mountains to the endless sandy dunes.

Luka's apprentice, Teto's third-born. Six's 'Twin' (not actually but shh, it's the lore), Ennaria's younger half sister. An easily excitable and adventurous wolf, Seven loves exploring and learning about the world. She likes to collect flowers and trinkets she finds on her journeys, either decorating the den with them or giving them to her other pack mates. Easily distracted, a bit of a scatterbrain like her mama.

Spoileri haven't written in. ages. uhhh i hope this doesn't suck!!! lol!!

The sun was beginning to rise, another dawn beginning as the birds chirped and sung their morning song, the sounds echoing throughout the forest. The new sunlight began to flitter through the trees, casting shadows onto the earth below.

A light, cream coloured wolf walked along the clearing, a small, liver coloured pup trailing behind her. The young pup was observing her surroundings, ecstatic to be so far away from the pack for once— it was so pretty out here! So many new sounds, smells, tastes.. Seven couldn't wait until she was old enough to explore by herself. It must be so exciting, the life of a scout; being able to roam the lands freely, exploring and gathering as much information as possible.

It sounded so peaceful, yet so exciting. Seven's train of thought was broken as the elderly wolf cleared her throat, trying to get the pup's attention. The two were now on a hill of some kind, giving them a good view of the area- they could see for miles!

"Those over there are the mountains," Luka spoke softly, her voice quiet as she gestured to the mountains in the far distance. Seven was in awe, her eyes practically dancing with sparkles as she took in the sights. "Wow.."

"They're so far away.. so tall." She noted, causing Luka to hum in agreement. "They are indeed. Very rocky, but once you get up there, it's lovely. It's a good area for hunting around this time of year, you can use the terrain to your advantage if you're smart enough."

Oh, of course! Luka was the first hunter of the pack— Seven remembered how her mother told her all about the elderly wolf, and it was clear Teto admired Luka just as much as Seven did. Perhaps it ran in the family. The younger wolf nodded, her tail wagging with excitement as she struggled to sit still.

"A few years before you were born, the pack used to live in the mountains." Luka recalled fondly, softly smiling to herself as she sat down, prompting Seven to do the same. "But it was very cold during the winters, so Teto and the rest of the council decided the pack would be better in a warmer biome. Our coats are too short for colder temperatures."

"..Do you think we'll ever move back there? Or.. maybe we could go there sometime?" Seven asked, praying- hoping— the answer would at least be a 'maybe'. That would be enough. She was so desperate to explore the world, to discover all its secrets and learn as much as she could. Luka was quiet for a moment, deep in thought, before she nodded at the pup. "I do not believe we'll move back there again- not anytime soon,"

A brief pause. "But, I would be willing to take you and your brother there some day soon, if you'd like. I'm sure your mother wouldn't mind that."

Seven grinned, jumping to her paws and jumping around in excitement as she yipped happily. Luka shook her head softly, chuckling at the pups enthusiasm. "You seem very eager to explore and learn, young one. I'm glad— it's been a while since any of the pups have been this happy about the idea of exploring further out there. Most of them seem very.. hm. Reluctant?"

"Really? But there's so much to see! I want to see it all, I want to see everything! I wanna run along the open fields of the grasslands, I wanna climb the mountains and watch it snow, I wanna run around the desert and kick up all the sand."

"I want to go to the forests and run through all of the trees and rocks. I wanna do everything!" Seven exclaimed, prancing around Luka with excitement in each step she took— the older wolf felt a pang of pride in her chest, feeling hopeful for the next generation.

"Perhaps you should ask your mother about becoming a scout, then." Luka suggested, causing Seven to halt rather abruptly and almost face plant into the ground. "She'd be thrilled to hear all of that. Your enthusiasm is refreshing, after all."

"I think you'd be a good scout."

i have no idea how to end this 😭 😭 i just think luka and seven would be an awesome mentor/apprentice duo,,, ahh i luv them <33
