Loki is the trickster gods of the old Norse. He is b far the most controversial and debated God there is within this mythology.

Loki is the son of a jötunn named Fárbauti and his mother is a giantess named Laufey. He is often referred as the Son of Laufey, which suggests that his mother had a higher social standing than his father.
He also has two lesser known brothers, Helblindi and Býleistr.

Loki also parents many children.
By Angrboða, he fathers the goddess Hel, the giant wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr. By Sigyn, he fathers his son Nari. And then he mothers the eight-legged steed, Sleipnir, by the stallion Svaðilfari.
