Betrothed to her granduncle to preserve the unique genetics of Ash. Didn't fucking work, as he died.
Ivy was known from a young age to resemble her grandmother, Daurth, and rumours awoke of her being a reincarnation.
When she took the throne she was prepared, but not perfect.
Knowing she lacked a mate, she broke the tradition of Queen's having a specific mate to reproduce with, and instead reproduced with the stud of an outside pack to gain her heir, Spice. Spice is a current heir placed in temporarily, and when Ivy gained her mate, Pumpkin, they were under an understanding that Spice will remain the heir until they can produce a worthy female to take over.
