After stumbling across a strange altar, Poltergeist was cursed. Her strange appearance terrified the wolves of the Verdant Throne, and despite Octavia's attempts to convince her pack to give the young wolf a chance, even she could not sway the other wolves' prejudice.
With a heavy heart, the leader of The Verdant Throne banished Poltergeist from her territory. Now forced into the life of a vagabond, the Corrupted One wanders the land, hopping from pack to pack. Will yours be next?

One brisk, day in autumn, Jun, the leader of The Canes Venatici, was walking by the river running along the edge of his territory during a usual jaunt of exploration and sent marking the borders. He stooped to drink the clear, crisp water but paused sensing someone - or something - watching him. His golden eyes narrowed, darting to each side until he noticed a dark shadow vanish behind a boulder a ways downstream of him. He called out as he approached, asking for whoever it was to name themselves and state their business for wandering so close to his territory.
He was taken aback as a pair of solid white eyes opened, as if emerging from the dark form like bubbles rising to the surface of an inky surface. Then, a third eye consisting of several red eyes emerged above the two white ones. Then another. And another, until he could count several all over the she-wolf's body. Teeth erupted from her chest and a tentacle-like tongue poked it's way out like a starving, salivating wolf.
"A Corrupted!" He shouted, preparing himself to fight. Kora had kept her word and taught him how to heal the corruption. He was foolish to believe in the witches at first, but he would do whatever it took to save those that fell to this sickness.
The she-wolf saddened some and glanced away, as if embarrassed or somber. "If only it were that..."
Jun cocked his head to the side. She was more like Kora than the others. More together mentally. "...If you are not corrupted...then what happened?"
The she wolf returned the head tilt, appearing wary. "...It was an accident. Some altar we knew nothing about...I barely touched it and woke up...like this...And now I've been banished, forced to wander and die alone."
Jun couldn't help but think of Akando, a pack member born with a third eye that he took in. At least, so the other wolf claimed. Then again, the pinkish wolf also claimed to not be of this world. Still, he couldn't help but see a bit of him in this she-wolf. "...What is your name?"
"...Poltergeist."
"A strange name."
"Fitting for a strange wolf such as myself. I've long lost the privlidge of being called my birth name since I've become...this....Forgive me, I was not intending to intrude, nor stay long. I will leave you and your pack be."
"...I'm not scared of you, you know?"
That appeared to startle her. "How? How could you not?"
"It is not your fault for becoming this...I understand if you do not wish to, but there will always be a place in my pack for you, if you wish."
"I do not think it wise for me to stay long."
"Stay as long as you like. My pack is...unique in taking in those that would be shunned by others. Everyone deserves a chance, as I say. Whether you stay for long or not, know my door is always open."
