Aurora

Aurora is a gray-pelted paw with striking winglike shoulder marks. Her eyes are black and gleam like stars in the night sky. Originally named "Sell (F G3 TII 8m Wings x2)", Aurora joined the pack on October 12, 2024 alongside Lux. She is currently a chaser for Nightshade's Shadow.

She sustained a hind leg scar from a wildcat encounter in the riparian woodland (11/5).

Seemingly since birth, Aurora has held a deep love for chasing. She would chase falling leaves all the way across the camp on her short little legs and run after the adult wolves to nip at their feet. She gave D'arc trouble keeping an eye on her! She was his second least favorite pup to raise, only trumped by the demons that were Grouse and Jay. Aurora was an excellent runner, but she was less good at stalking. Aurora was an abnormally large pup, which carried over to being a daunting wolf in her adulthood. It was great for fighting, but less good for hiding from prey, which she often spooks if they spot her.

Aurora had a complicated relationship with Lux that traces back to her puphood. They were very hot and cold, on-and-off about playing together, loving each other's company but having big fights where they stopped talking. Aurora wanted to play what she wanted to while Lux was overly concerned about getting hurt or doing something gross, which made Aurora think she was making excuses to not hang out with her. D'Arc had to sit the two down and have them talk out their issues, often with Hayden's help.

When on good terms, Lux and Aurora could play together for hours. Aurora would gather Lux and Hayden for races across camp, where she would offer one of her toys as a "prize" for being the fastest. Hayden, the older paw, would always let one of the two pups win.

When fighting, both pestered the Tribe to play, bored out of their minds without each other. Aurora liked visiting Cel, who would sneak out of camp and show her the forest when he wasn't hunting. She got a few snaps from the Swift Claws if she approached them, especially from Polar and Haven who found her annoying.

As an underpaw, Aurora studied chasing under Zircon and generally observed Rumbling Thunder. They are a close-knit hunting party with three siblings in the party who seemed to get along well. Savage, Split Patches, and Zircon worked seriously and with high focus, which Aurora learned to value. She had a few slips early in the underpawship where she ran alongside them, which she got scolded for. She felt discouraged for a few suns after, noticing she wasn't nearly as fast as the hunters.

She was on good terms with Hayden and saw him when training together, but didn't hang out much because of how much time he spent in the nesting burrow.

Copper, a red-furred paw the same age as Aurora and Lux, was brought into the pack. Lux hated him, which was another thing they fought over on their bad days. Aurora would poke her nose into his stone paintings and ask him to draw her, which was usually met with stammering and something akin to turning into a tomato and passing out. She felt odd on the occasions they brushed flanks or they bit fleas out of each other's fur, mostly because of how awkward he was about it. She still liked the guy, though, and was completely oblivious to the reasons for his bizarre behavior.

Adulthood

After her Night of First Hunt, where herself, Lux, and Copper caught a Grouse, she met and got along well with Sister and Split Patches. The two were very kind to her! She liked how predictable they were, which she hadn't really gotten with Copper and Lux, for better or worse. She ultimately joined Nightshade's Shadow to replace Grouse and Jay as a chaser, dragging Copper with her.

Copper tried to beeline to the Bitter Den and never see sunlight again, but Aurora made sure he hunted with his party! She visited the Bitter Den every day to yap his ear off about pulling all nighters and get his ass in gear...and also, admittedly look at his pretty paintings.
