You had brought your new pup home just recently and showed him where to make his nest in the den. He insisted it be right next to you, but you just smiled at that. He was also very insistent on making it himself, fixing it up every night. After a few nights, the pup had fallen asleep outside listening to some of the pack elders' stories, so you got to fix up his nest. You start to paw at it and yelp, a splinter of a bone sticking your paw pad. You huff and poke at it more carefully, moving some moss to notice a pile of bones beneath it. A female wolf giggled from just a few feet away, "I told him why the pups put their first canines under their nests, for the tooth fairy. He hasn't lost any so he was hoping those might do the same."
