Biography
Rurik
Some of us have a friend in our circle that is known as "the quiet one." You know, the one who trails at the back of the pack, doesn't engage in drama, super distant yet down to earth. That's Rurik.
A drifter turned pack member, not much is known about Rurik's history. He doesn't speak of his family, or former homes. A wolf of few words, most find it hard to get any sort of conversation out of him at all. Despite this lack of social skills, he's proven himself a fine mentor to the pups in the pack, encouraging them in their training as they develop into future assets.
Rurik is essentially the first line of defense against invading packs or hostile animals, quick to alert his leader of trouble found. Minor threats he will typically take on himself, sometimes resulting in a bloody return to the den. The herbalist sees Rurik more than any other wolf due to his reckless nature, and it is not uncommon for Rurik to depart on his scouting missions from the healing cave early. This is much to the protest of Phantom, who can only watch as his threats fall on deaf ears.
Rurik couldn't care less what other wolves think of him. He's a silent fellow, stealthy, and floats through the pack territory much like a spirit. The pack leader often found Rurik stalking off at random, and decided he was a sure-fire candidate for scouting. Being of the same nature, Onai and Rurik are frequently seen intertwining their routes when patrolling any adjacent biomes. Of course the rumors of what potential relationship could be would prick at the packs ears over time...
