Needle was welcomed into the new snowy territory of the disciples by Eclipse during his period of visions. The two conversed daily on their trek back to the camp in the glacial wilderness, and while Needle gained a lot of insight into the disciples' ways, Eclipse saw great potential in the younger wolf. When Eclipse finally reunited with his pack, he introduced Needle as their new healer's apprentice.
