San

San's father was the previous leader of the Evenridge pack, and with only one sibling who was bound to leave, San was expected to take over as leader one day. But San knew this wasn't what he was for, he didn't want to deal with all the pack duties, and have to fight to protect his pack, even though he would if it came down to it. San hates violence, hates the thought of hunting even though it's necessary to survive, basically hates any activity that may cause harm. He instead, always loved helping out with his pups, his mom being the puppy sitter of the pack when she was still alive. And this is what he wanted to do, not be some brute leader.

When Lena arrived, San knew instantly that she was his mate. She had been deemed "The Wanderer" by many because she didn't have a pack, and never stayed in one long enough to become part of one. The day Lena said she was leaving, San knew it was coming. Her duty that brought her here was done, she had no reason to stay. Then the ambush happened. The NightRidge Pack, led by San's uncle had attacked. His uncle wanted more land, more wolves, more power. He killed San's father and mother and almost the entirety of the Evenridge pack, but it was Lena who saved the pack. She had killed San's uncle, ending the battle.

With his parents dead it was up to San to now take over, but he didn't want to. He had never bothered to learn what it meant to be leader, because he knew he wasn't made to be. It was Lena who stepped up after the battle to ensure everyone got care, that the dead were worshipped properly, she picked up the pieces. San begged Lena to take the role of leader, that these were her people and she was made for this. In the end, Lena did take his role as the first female leader of the evenridge pack, and San became the first male puppy sitter.
