Harvest 🍂

Found hidden away in a leaf pile as a pup, they gave Beau quite the jump-scare ( as he was definitely not expecting a puppy to be hiding amongst the leaves). He couldn't just leave them there, so he took them to the pack.

The pack named them Harvest, and this wolf was determined to make their place within the pack quickly. They learn quickly on lessons and hunts.

The time finally arrives when Mossfeather, the herbalist of the pack, retires. She hardly wants to move these days, the last winter rough on her.

She chooses between the last pawful of pups she'd trained for the possibility of continuing her work. Harvest is chosen.

Harvest isn't sad about it, and she enjoys the work with the herbs and healing, but she can't help but feel a pull in a different line of work; exploration. She enjoys searching new areas for plants for her medicine a lot for this reason.

While Harvest daydreams about what her life could have been if Mossfeather picked someone else, Caelum watches with a growing feeling of anger. If only he was older, he thinks, unbeknownst to the new herbalist.
