Melanism Carrier

Gene approaches New Runt Puppy and presses his ear tightly into his fur. He mumbles something under his breath before plucking a single hair strand directly from the coat. He turns his back to you and fumbles around with it and a series of objects. After a short period, he regards you excitedly.. "Intriguing news! New Runt Puppy is a carrier for Melanism!"

During the Hunting Basics lesson: Melanism Carrier was reminded to work on his attention span. While his physical condition was perfect, Melanism Carrier needed to fight the urge to use every opportunity to play.
During the Stalking lesson: Melanism Carrier was dropped on a very crackly underbrush with a lot of pebbles today. The challenge was to make the least amount of sound possible and get to Diascia in less than five minutes, otherwise they had to start over. It was a very cronchy day.
During the Hiding lesson: Leaves? Rocks? Underbrush? Twisted tree stump? Eroded slope? Melanism Carrier learned to use any environment and its features to camouflage successfully.
During the Bird Watching lesson: Melanism Carrier yawned, waiting for any bird at all to come. He didn't know if the nesting material was wrong or if it was something else, but figuring it out makes for a valuable lesson.
During the Chasing & Escaping lesson: Spectre pretended to be a very hungry coyote today and chased Melanism Carrier around the den to test all the dodging techniques in action. The dripping saliva coming from his mouth was a great yucky touch.
