He was an outsider.
Born of Peach- a long-time hunter of the Streamhope pack, and an unknown stud from another pack, he didn't quite warrant the title of Leader.
However, ambitious and dedicated he was to this new idea.
As Annamarie grew older, she became frazzled. November arrived and with sightings of a mysterious pack and new creatures flooding the territory...?
It was his chance. To go down in the pack's history. He was willing to do anything.

Proving himself became a challenge, with the judging minds of Caydran and Meelo. Clearly, he had the upperhand with Witchcraft already having passed- the she-wolf that had the most sway over their Queen.
However, he was standing against two pack veterans and the current Stud and Healer. Respect had to be earned, not demanded.
And so, slowly, he began slowly winning them over- trying charm, gifts, keenly following them around to learn. Wanting to bring honour to their pack.

Honor was his goal, and so honor was what was bestowed upon him. Although breaking the line of Queens and those well-oriented in the pack, his arrival had to be the start of a new age.
Not necessarily a bad one, but... different. Sure.
Although he lacked the benevolence of the queens and broke the traditions, he tried his hardest to adjust.
Quartz and quail over bluejay and flowers, the new King was going to be an adjustment for the pack. (Although, he relented to the bright blue feather and glowing pendant due to his newfound affection for Annamarie- per her request).
But Annamarie bestowed her trust in him- to carry on the legacy of Streamhope, and guide it under his care during his reign. To hopefully assign the next leader after the lessons he learned along the way.

Annamarie knew her time had come.
Sitting in a clearing, in full sight of the moon, she lifts her chin and closes her stain glass eyes before howling her breath upwards.
She was unfortunately going to have to leave behind the C[coigreach pack's name] Pack, but she trusted her future choice for whatever reason. He reminded her of a squirrel, curious and bold.
While he wasn't quite what she imagined her heir to be, nor who Queenling would've chose, she felt that he would lead the pack strongly until a new King or Queen took his place. He had a good soul.

With her nose lifted to the ancestors and Dreamlands, a shooting star whips across the sky and there's a breeze that ruffles her fur and the pendant around her neck.
"Yes... he'll be good."

Sciurus took his reign and crown without hesitation, although immediately the pack was thrown into turbulence with a new system and new hierarchy. Although Annamarie didn't misplace her trust in him, the Streamhope Pack was on a rocky trail. Having a king interrupt their line of queens? The pack had doubts.

Those doubts grew when strange animals and unsettling tremors ran through the ground- dancing wisps of light just before their vision before vanishing, leaving a haunting trace. Gone before it truly began, but those troubled times were certainly the wrong time for a change in leadership.

With the steady experience of Caydran 🗻 and the present healer Meelo, he attempted to deal with pack overcrowding with an influx of newcomers he didn't know how to regulate, making sure all needs were met, and.... a flood of puppies. Yikes, Caydran 🗻, busy much?

Slowly Sciurus (mostly) overcame the challenges and reestablished order in his own name, [FUTURE STUD] by his side and hopefully Herbedelia once Meelo relinquished her heightened status and privileges as healer and Witchcraft's daughter. With an expansion of the pack, adding a new cave to sort out pack rankings, and the beginning of the chillier seasons, the red squirrel boi settled in and sat tall.
