🦊 Fox

The little puppy shivered in the cold night, his mother's scent fading further and further as he was left to crawl on the cold forest floor on his small paws. He didn't know where he was going, or what he was doing. He only knew he was alone.

He stumbled and fell a couple of times, his energy quickly fading as he stopped to rest. A rustling in the bushes nearby caught his attention, and he raised his head to look.

A snow covered wolf with two sharp horns stepped into the glade.

*~~"Hello, little one."*~~ Their voice rasped as they crouched down to meet Fox's gaze.

The little puppy trembled, too tired to move away, as he looked at the snow-covered wolf with wide, innocent eyes. The sharp horns on the creature's head made the puppy cower a bit, trying to make itself smaller.
The bigger wolf simply picked him up by the scruff, used to young wolves by now.
The puppy was too weak and cold to struggle, and he let out a soft whine as the big wolf picked him up by the scruff. He felt a bit trapped, but something about being held like this also made him feel safe. He looked at the wolf with a mix of fear and curiosity.

The new den was warmer and safer than the cold forest floor he was left on, and the group of other pups appeared friendly enough. The puppy, now named Fox by his new pack, quickly began to forget the cold and lonely days alone.

He played and explored with the other pups, discovering a new life with his new pack. He still missed his mother sometimes, but the warmth and safety of his new family helped ease the pain.
